Description Black and white etching on ecru wove paper. Image of a horse race. A grandstand of onlookers appears at the left with a British flag. In the right foreground a man with a club is trying to climb onto a carriage and is being beaten back with a driver with a whip. In the left foreground a horse kicks a man and another man lies on the ground with spilled baskets. The caption "HORSE RACEING" is printed at the top of the image and "Printed & Sold by L:M: Langham 3. Red Lion Street Holborn" is printed at the bottom.

"4" is written in pencil to the lower right of the image. "Drawn & Etched by George Cruikshank when about 12 or 13 years of age" is written in pencil below.

"6/24 2" is written in pencil on the reverse.
